A couple of last minute SENIORS

We still seem to be booking 2009 seniors for last minute photo sessions.  These two are the latest additions!  First up is Kali…

Kali’s session was totally unique.  We started with a trip to the salon!  No, not to just document her latest haircut… but because Kali was doing something totally great by donating her long, curly locks to Locks of Love .  It was fun and heartwarming… and I’m hoping Kali will share with you soon  why doing this is such a wonderful thing.   But for now, I’ll just share a few of the images we made!

Then there is the ever so dapper, Matt.    It was a breath of fresh air to have a senior “dude” who didn’t want to bolt out of the session after a first few shots!  We ended up getting sooooo many great shots that it was hard to narrow down my faves for the blog.   Here’s the one’s I couldn’t leave behind and had to post.

Wedding Ceremony and Reception:  Mariposa Art Park

Flowers:  Bloom {formally Bella Donnas}

Cake:  The Cake Guy

Photography:  Bella Vita

This was a FUN wedding!  Jen, Brian and I loaded the cake and flowers in the car and headed to the quaint little town of Mariposa.   We arrived… settled in a bit… set up the cake… and did a little looking around before I started shooting for the day.  The ceremony was in an adorable little park called the Art Park next to an antique store called Chocolate Soup.  It was definitely the most unique ceremony I’ve attended from the Princess Bride lines that carried throughout to the guest sipping wine as they watched Chris and Carrie say ”I do”.  After the ceremony we spent a few hours at the reception before heading down the street for dinner.  If there is one thing that the three of us have a hard time with is deciding on where to eat our meals.  We finally settled on a restraunt called Savoury’s.  All you have to do is walk in the front door and take a deep breath in and the aroma alone will make you want to stay.  It doesn’t hurt that the place is full of character and charm.  It was full, but the owner was sweet enough to create us a small table in the middle of the room so we could stay for dinner.  And the dinner didn’t dissapoint!  We had the most wonderful green chile soup that Brian and I have been trying to replicate ever since (to no avail… so far… but we aren’t giving up yet) and the chicken was great, too.  If you feel like making the treck to Mariposa… look up Savoury’s!  They have moved to a new location just down the street.  You can’t miss it.  :)

THE DOWNS FAMILY.

Here is Jen and her family!

A senior, his sister… and three siblings at the Civic

I spend a lot of time at the Hanford Civic Auditorium for portrait sessions… there are so many wonderful walls and textures there and it seems like I find new things every time I’m there.   Looks like they are taking down the carousel… so sad.  Hopefully it will be back in the future.  Here are two recent sessions at the Civic…

More portrait catch up…

Here are a few more peaks at some of my portrait work in the fall.
